Belén Jerez is a Professor of Economics at UC3M (PhD, UCLA) and a Sloan Foundation Fellow. She has held visiting positions at the University of Pennsylvania and University of British Columbia.
Jerez's research integrates search and informational frictions into equilibrium models, building novel bridges between GE theory, search, and information economics (using linear programming). She has applied search-theoretic models to housing, commerce, and monetary economics. Her current work breaks new ground on the role of intermediaries like temporary work agencies.
Fabien Postel-Vinay is a professor of economics at University College London and a Research Director at the Institute for Fiscal Studies. He is also an IZA Research Fellow and a founding member of the European Search and Matching (SaM) network. He received his Ph.D. in economics at Université de Paris I in 1998. He is a Fellow of the Econometric Society and received the Frisch medal, jointly with Jean-Marc Robin, in 2006.
Postel-Vinay’s research fields are applied and theoretical labor economics, labor market policy and economic dynamics. The focus of most of his recent contributions is on the economics and econometrics of job search models, and on the dynamics of labor reallocation over the business cycle.
